Our friend Brian Lerner co-created and writes a new web series that has been showing some damn funny promos the past few weeks, and today the first episode launched! We always get excited any time people associated with the show do their thing. Let's not forget that Brian was part of the team for the first few months when we rolled out Jet Set Show back in June, 2006, and recently did a correspondent interview with the band Drive A. So we go waaaaay back!

So how exactly does one become a master inventor? What makes someone qualified to be a master inventor? Those are exactly the questions we asked Andy Stanford Clark, IBM Master Inventor and home automation guru.
Andy looks like a pretty unassuming guy, but don't let the smile fool you. He's a visiting Professor at Newcastle University, a member of MIT Media Lab Steering Committee, has been granted 11 patents, has 33 patents pending, and has 30 additional invention disclosures. Whew... and that's not even the tip of the iceberg.
This week we featured the catchy dance groove "The Disco Song" by the Torpedo Boyz. As their MySpace profile states, the Torpedo Boyz are Kentastic & Rollin Hand and The Torpedo Boyz live band features Returner (vocals), ODD Daisuke (Japanese vocals), Borat (drums), Kurtis Bo (bass) and Kentastic (vocals & guitars).

Like Zadi mentions on today's episode, we're hosting a video mashup event with a chance to win an EPIC FU t-shirt! Here's how you can participate:
To Twitter-philes, Yiying Lu isn't a household name, but she should be. She is the creator of the omnipresent "FailWhale," a lovely illustration of a whale being lifted and carried by birds. Twitter chose to use this illustration when the service was unavailable or overloaded, and as such it gained the nickname of the FailWhale.

I just got into the office, and I'm waiting for episode 135 to finish capturing. I thought I'd pass the time by finishing my Nutter Butters and writing a quick post. The episode I'll be cutting today features Kent & Doug from Ask a Ninja, who I'm sure 99% of you have heard of. I just wrapped up their interview yesterday before heading home.
Changing subjects - everyone here at the EPIC FU headquarters seems pretty nervous lately over the way things seem to be falling apart all over the world. Yesterday, Rick and I were talking during lunch about the real sense of fear that is getting harder to pass off as hype... just then a handful of fighter jets passed about 200 feet overhead, which is not something that happens often in Beverly Hills, the timing was strange and I think we both thought for a second, "this is it!!!".
I know I've been wishing lately that I knew how to actually *grow* something. Anything.
Okay, Zadi just dashed out of her chair. Time for me to get to work.

Zadi is delivering daily videoblog updates from Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dublin, Ireland. She's over there as part of her participation in the Transatlantic Network 2020 program. She's been learning about the conflict between Catholics and Protestants and is working directly with people form the communities there. She posted a ton of photos to her Flickr account, as well.
Two more video updates embedded after the jump!

Hey peoples. I'm so excited - this is my first post on the Epic Fu blog! I'm Mike, and I'm one of the lucky editors for the show. When I'm not working on FU-related-stuff, I'm usually locked up in my bedroom writing and editing "For Thousands of Miles." Which is a film about traveling... and other stuff... check the 20 second teaser from it above!
More editing stuff after the jump!
