we live in public
Posted by Zadi Diaz

We live in public trailer from RADAR on Vimeo.

I saw my friend Kenyatta twitter about this a few days ago, and just recently my other friend Jay was discussing it in the videoblogging group.

If you haven't seen it yet, definitely check out web entrepreneur/multi-media artist Josh Harris' trailer for his new documentary We Live In Public. It's a socio-political and artistic experiment that looks at what happens as we propel ourselves into lives that are on perpetual public display via the web. Eight years in the making, the million dollar project hooks up 32 web cams in a Manhattan loft that's set up bunker-style and records the lives of a 100 volunteer artists/guinea pigs while discussing the implications of the project as it d/evolves into madness. It asks the question: Will we survive in public?

Britney Spears. You want to know if you can survive under the microcope? There's your perfect subject!
Other celebrity handle it? Not like this.
When you're followed everywhere you go just to see if you're going yo mess up, or just say a wrong word, this is hollywood at its very best, or shall i say worse.
Because of that, she failed. She failed everything: being a mom, a wife, a singer, and a star. Some might say that her mistake was to marry Kevin Ferderline... I say thats not only this, it's the public, the need for crunchy news, and the offer the papparazis provide.

Living in public? The closest you'll ever get to reality is by watching Britney spiral down to hell. Sad.

Wow.. I remember watching some of Psuedo back in the 90's I worked for a company like Psuedo Called >en or digital entertainment network. They were our competitors it was an exciting time But I never heard of the experiment. That looks insane but Lurkerz gives a great example with Britney Spears I had not thought of that
