4.11.08. we all belong. from paul dateh on Vimeo.
Paul Dateh recounts his personal experience with friends who were victims of gang violence. I wanted to pass this on because in this online web 2.0 world of ours, these are stories we often times don't get to hear (or speak about), but are all too familiar. These are the stories we need to share with each other.

Oh my god. I just watched this video with my Girlfriend and she began to cry. This story is such, such, how can i say? Such unfair. To Paul, to these 2 guys and to the whole World. Like Paul said "This Universe is a good Place". But don't forget it's not a fair place.
I have to say, Paul you're really fearless (mutig). It is just uncredible how the Web (2.0) let's us share our feelings, our stories and our fears with other people. That is a point where I have to say: The Web is good.
So Zadi (and Steve) can you do me and the World a favor? Ask Paul if you can and then feature this Video in the next Episode, I mean show it, build it into the Video. You know guys, the point Paul made that Video is to show that Violence isn't the right way. But I don't think he will change a lot with his 200 Vimeo views. But if you guys, that have sometimes 3 Million Views show this, you can change a lot.
So Paul I'm sorry for you and peace to this World.

This is very true. Things like this happen everyday just people like me don't have the courage to talk about it. I have lost 3 friends from gang shooting and came very close to losing one not to long ago. The thing is I'm not gangster and now of them were gangster. We don't hang out with them or associate with them. We teens that live in St. Louis. They all died from drive bye (if that right world to use). 2 out of the 3 were very smart full rides to Ohio state for wrestling the other just cursing through life and having a great time. It does happen and it might happen to someone that you care about. I'm not trying to scare anyone just saying. Share your story there is others like us.
