To follow up on my FF3 post earlier this week, it looks like the date has been set for Firefox 3's official launch. Set your calendars for next Tuesday, June 17th. It's coming earlier than expected.
There are over 400 parties going on worldwide to celebrate the launch. Get your download on and help Mozilla set a new world record.
We're big fans of the Firefox 3 betas at EPIC FU. It runs faster, eats up less memory, and generally speaking we like the new features, e.g. the almighty location bar. Also, the Mac theme is much more Mac-like. Did I mention we like Macs?
Firefox is hoping to break a Guinness world record for the number of downloads in a day when the final Firefox 3 browser is released. Over a million people have already pledged to participate.
It's easy to download MP3's from music-streaming services Muxtape and Seeqpod (and perhaps others) using a simple Firefox add-on.
Tools needed
- Firefox Browser verson 1.0 - 3.0.*
- User Agent Switcher add-on
- iPhone user agent specs (below)
How it works
Muxtape and Seeqpod offer a non-Flash, non-streaming version of their websites for iPhone users. So if we trick them into thinking our Firefox browser is an iPhone, we can access the downloadable MP3's they serve to iPhone users.

I recently started using the Firefox add-on Shareaholic, and it's truly quite awesome in a mega-useful way. It lets you quickly submit the page you're browsing to a bunch of different bookmark/sharing websites, including del.icio.us, Digg, Tumblr, Twitter, and a lot more. It's a must-have for all you hot and sweaty social web lovers.
