flash game challenge! sunny day sky
Posted by Rick Rey
sunny day sky

This week's Flash Game Challenge is a seemingly cute car romp by Ferry Halim. But don't let its cute looks fool you -- Sunny Day Sky is fun, addictive, and perfect for the challenge because it's all about getting crazy high scores. It's also super easy to play. Just click your mouse once to open your umbrella and click again to close it. Try to jump over as many cars as you can to achieve higher point multipliers.

As always, post a screenshot of your high score and we'll give you a shout-out next week PLUS the prime real estate on MIX. Have fun!

mix member spotlight: videoblog round-up
Posted by Annie Tsai

This week we're spotlighting several members' videoblogs on MIX. First up, ksawyer does a weekly music round-up show called New Sound Now. In this first episode, he showcases some great music videos, sources for free music, and discusses the usefulness of artist videos. I love the video he features from the Raveonettes, the chorus from "Dead Sound" has been stuck in my head since. ksawyer also fosters some thought-provoking discussion on censorship.

add yourself to the EPIC-FU google map!
Posted by Rick Rey

We've mentioned this on the show a couple times, and the response has been so great I had to blog about it. Last January, MIX member Michael Jahn created an interactive Google map to show where EPIC-FU viewers live around the world, and the project is still going strong. Anyone can add their location, and Michael even created a tutorial for those who aren't familiar how Google map markers work.

It's really amazing to see the global impact of the show. As of right now, almost 13,000 people have viewed the map. So if you haven't already, please add yourself and let the community know where you call home. Who knows.. you might find another FU'er in your hometown. Thanks again Michael!

MIX redux: black dot experiment
Posted by Zadi Diaz
mix_blackdot.jpg

One of our MIX members, Maiflowers, recently posted a really interesting topic for discussion:

Me and my brother went to an Art musium today (because were art freaks and have nothing better to do) and we came across a painting of a while canvass with three colored lines going down across it (Blue Black and Green.. I think). We were trying to think of meaning of it without looking at the little info card and we came up with compleat opposit meanings which were absolutly different from the card. Which brings me to my "Experiment"

There is a meaning behind this (my meaning) but I want to you come up with you think it is. Ready. Set. Post.

What do you see? Let Maiflowers know.
